Monterey

Monterey has some of the most varied roofs on the Central Coast: Spanish tile downtown and up the hill, cedar shake in the older neighborhoods, and flat commercial roofs through the Cannery Row and Del Monte corridors.

Tile is where we spend most of our Monterey time. Knowing how to walk a tile roof without breaking it, how to source matching profiles when a tile line was discontinued twenty years ago, and when a lift-and-relay is the right call instead of a replacement is most of the job here.

On character homes we treat the existing look as part of the scope. A new roof shouldn't announce itself, it should look like it always belonged on the house.
